The SW MN PIC is a partner in the Minnesota WorkForce System, which provides universal services to job seekers, students and businesses at no cost. Each WorkForce Center and SW MN PIC office has a resource area for all community members, and provides the following services:
- Computers
- High-speed Internet
- Email access
- Phones
- Fax machines
- Printers
- Information on resume writing, interviewing, and career exploration
- Job seeker workshops
The SW MN PIC also offers free services to the following:
Adults
Eligible adults may receive intensive skill training and job search assistance through the WorkForce Investment Act (WIA) and Dislocated Worker Programs. The SW MN PIC also administers Public Assistance Programs to improve employment and economic conditions for people receiving financial assistance through county programs.
Youth
Youth programs are committed to serving disadvantaged youth in SW Minnesota by providing career exploration services, job seeking assistance and work experiences for individuals aged 14-21. Eligible youth will work with a youth team member to gain skills that will help them become productive and self-sufficient.

The SW MN PIC partners with many area agencies to provide comprehensive services to all community members. While not all services are offered directly from the SW MN PIC, we aim to be a valuable resource for all job seekers or those needing family support. From transportation to housing and daycare, the services listed will direct you to the correct agency for your needs.
