This was an opportunity for students to interact with area businesses and learn about potential career paths. DESCRIPTION:On May 8th\, 2024\, The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council had the opportunity to be a part of the Technology and Trades on the Prairie‘s Career Institute\, an event sponsored and brought together by a number of local employers and organizations\, to promote careers for 7-9th grade students in the Redwood County area! Students attended multiple sessions to learn about different careers and education pathways available in the area\, with many hands-on activities! We love to collaborate with others in order to bring activities like these to students!

SUMMARY:Summer Internship Program
DESCRIPTION:All Summer Internship Programs are Full for 2024.  \nThe Summer Internship Program is a collaboration between participating southwest Minnesota counties and the Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (PIC). The program connects college students with local businesses for a paid internship where they can gain professional experience and learn what local employers have to offer. This summer we are partnering with Nobles and Murray Counties to offer this program to area college students. We are looking for student applicants as well as business host sites.
