Do you want to get involved?

Jobs give people a sense of security, a sense of pride, and a sense of purpose. The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (PIC) helps people not only get a job, but ensures they have the tools and resources needed to connect with meaningful and family-sustaining employment. Our work creates opportunities for individuals to work and learn advanced skills leading to higher wages while meeting industry demands for a skilled workforce.

Last year, PIC served 6,041 with individualized employment and training services, facilitated 685 On-the-Job Training/Work Experiences and assisted with 527 industry recognized credentials being earned.

The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (PIC) works to build tomorrow’s workforce through partnerships with a shared focus on training and leadership. We are a private, nonprofit organization that offers customized training and employment services for individuals and businesses in a 14-county area of Southwest Minnesota. We facilitate services through three Career Force locations in Marshall, Montevideo and Worthington. For 34 years, the PIC has helped build a skilled and qualified workforce.

PIC works with employers and educators to assist students with career exploration, career preparation, and skills training that align with the needs of local employers. We are leaders in Minnesota’s CareerForce System implementing regional workforce strategies to create long-term solution for local employers as identified by the Southwest Minnesota Workforce Development Board.

We pride ourselves on being:

  • Responsive
  • Experienced
