We conducted mock interviews and worked on ways to briefly acknowledge his past, without dwelling on it, and then redirect the conversation toward his strengths, highlighting his reliability, work ethic, and commitment to building a better future.
In addition to coaching, we provided practical resources to support his job search, including gas cards to help him get to and from interviews. Every small resource added up to a larger impact, ensuring transportation wasn’t a barrier to opportunity.
With persistence, encouragement, and the necessary tools, Enrique landed a job as a cook at a local bar and restaurant, marking a significant step back into the workforce.
