Throughout her journey, Sharol showed up prepared, engaged fully in the process, and remained open to guidance and feedback. Together with her employment counselor, she developed a professional resume that highlighted her strengths and transferable skills. More importantly, Sharol took ownership of her story. She practiced communicating her experiences honestly and confidently, with a focus on the growth she’s achieved.
Sharol also made full use of the support and resources available to her through the Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (PIC), including transportation assistance that helped ensure she could attend interviews and appointments without added stress. Her commitment never wavered.
Through persistence and determination, Sharol successfully secured employment at Jackpot Junction, with extended thanks to the Lower Sioux Indian Council for their support and partnership in helping create opportunities for success. She credits her success not only to her own hard work, but also to the encouragement and support she received along the way. Sharol expressed her gratitude to PIC and gave a special thank-you to Bridgette for her positivity, generosity, and ability to make the process both approachable and empowering.
Sharol’s story is a powerful reminder that with determination, support, and a willingness to grow, meaningful and lasting success is possible.
